Charming! Decorated beautiful and close to fishing dock. We had a minor hick up getting in and Sisalee( sp) was there on the spot ready to help and assist. We were very impressed by the quick response and help we received. …. The follow up was great as she came by to check on us the next day! Waters edge has a jewel and she helped make our stay even better.

The cottage is well-equipped, nicely furnished, and clean. The water front location is great and view from the deck is quite relaxing. The cottage is designed to maximize its interior space. There were no paper towels or trash bags upon check-in, so I responded to the welcome text on arrival day and received those items within 30 minutes of texting. The management team was quickly responsive to our request.

Beautiful tiny home right on the water! A little difficult to find once inside the gates, arrive in daylight! Nice playground within walking distance for the kids. Very enjoyable. It is almost an hour to Chattanooga if that is your destination.

Overall this tiny house was beautiful and unique. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay indoors. The inside of the house was clean and very well kept. The fishing dock is right outside the entrance on the deck and the lake is amazing in the evenings with the sun going down over it! Things that could use some improvement… the outside of the home has been let go (landscaping is overgrown and cleanliness). We understand the outside areas are open to the weather, but the deck and furniture were not clean at all (even with good weather). We used our folding camp chairs during our stay due to this issue. Also, there is a beautiful fire pit for use, but no instructions on wood or any on the property to use. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously! The community is quiet and friendly. The small towns surrounding the area are fun to explore and lots of hiking. And don’t miss out eating at the local steak house, High Point! Wonderful food with amazing history!

We spent our anniversary at this adorable tiny home. It was perfect for us, and had beautiful views of the lake. Every detail you can think of has been taken care of. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Acorn Cottage as it was tastefully decorated and clean. Having the lakefront view was great. I will say to those looking to book this tiny home beware that there is now another tiny home built parallel to the Acorn Cottage within 10-15 feet of the exterior, and this is not updated in the pictures. So if you are looking to choose this home based on seclusion like we did, just know you will be close neighbors with whomever is staying beside you (lots of open windows). Overall a great stay and a peaceful property.

Feels like you’re camping but with the amenities of home. The tiny home was just big enough for our needs. The location is great! Downtown Tracy City with its County Museum and local bakery was fun. It was a short drive to beautiful hiking trails with waterfalls! One improvement would be to add some covered outdoor areas to eat meals as it was raining for much of the time we where there and hard to find a place for more than two people to eat indoors.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. Very close to so many beautiful hikes with waterfalls. The Retreat is quiet, well kept and peaceful. We highly recommend driving to their other owned property and hiking Deer Lick Falls. Incredibly peaceful, no one else there, just a hidden gem. We had an issue with the door locking properly the first night and messaged the property manager at probably 10:30pm, they responded right away and had maintenance there the next morning to fix the issue. The only thing we struggled with - was our cabin didn’t have a number located anywhere, so we sort of just guessed and when the lockbox code worked - we assumed we were at the right place! Can this tiny house sleep 6? Yes! Would it fit everyone’s bags? Probably not so much. Unless you have littler ones. Double check restaurant hours - we found many to be closed on Sunday and/or closed at 4p on Saturday. We thoroughly enjoyed Mountain Goat Market and Papa Ron’s

The Acorn Cottage is a hidden gem! Beautiful cabin and incredible front porch with lake view. Please note the grill is a Treager...so don't forget your pellets.

Loved everything about it! Nice gated tiny home community on the lake. Location is perfect for the Grundy Forest Park. We are already planning to come back with more friends and family!

Our family of four boys had the best stay. We enjoyed being on the water, used the fireplace and slept well in the bunks and loft. This is a clean and well-maintained property. We apprecited the easy check-in and check-out.

Beautiful, setting, living space, view. Hearing the birds sing and watching the water ripple was amazing! At night an out side fire at the fire pit was so relaxing. The quite, natural atmosphere was just what I needed! If you need a microwave or any special equipment ask before renting! I didn’t but you might! Would recommend highly, this retreat location!!!

I had a great stay at the Retreat. I had some trouble at first setting up the streaming for the TV, but the support from Airbnb was great and eventually got everything I needed. Beautiful setting, very clean house, spacious deck and fire pit nearby. Definitely a great place to get away for a quiet weekend.

The customer service for little things we asked for were delivered immediately, always answered the phone, even after hours. Super accommodating. Wonderful experience at this little gem!!

Very nice, tiny home. Clean, quiet and relaxing. Only complaint were the portable air conditioners which didn’t do the job. On the days with a slight breeze, we opened the windows and had the fans blowing.

Beautiful location and cute tiny home. One of the best spots in the whole community!! The decor was really nice. Tiny home was well equipped and clean. The view is AMAZING and it was a very peaceful trip. It has a sunken fire pit with cozy pillows located by the water that was a great surprise not mentioned in the listing. Definitely bring a starter log to get a fire going. The outdoor furniture is so comfortable and we spent most of our time out there. They have a table top fire pit, but it unfortunately wasn’t working for our stay. Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be booking this tiny home again!!! FYI: The cafe lights are on a timer and supposed to come on automatically, if they don’t just double click the power button…that worked for us. 😊

Our small family had a pleasant visit at (Re)treat Yourself. Our daughter loved both the bunk beds and loft. The space was clean and obviously well-kept. The deck was spacious and lovely perch to look at the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We particularly enjoyed the dock from where we fished multiple times throughout the visit. We rented a canoe for the 3 of us and visited with many other visitors on the lake. Our daughter jumped in the lake from the canoe and swam back to the dock. This was the highlight of her visit! We will return!

Great home in a quiet area. Easy access to a dock for fishing. Love the built-in stone fire pit. Kids love the choice of bunk beds versus the loft.

Can’t recommend enough for a relaxing getaway. Quiet little town with other amenities nearby. Great hiking and walking opportune. Highly suggest just sitting on the dock in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee or at the fire pit in the evening with an adult beverage.

{Re}Treat Yourself was perfect! I chose it for a Girls trip due to the location by the water, and the amount of sleeping spots. It was roomy enough for 4 adults without seeming crowded. The home was tastefully decorated, and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The spacious deck and incredible fire pit were almost like additional square footage! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. A microwave would have been nice, but we warmed everything in the oven instead. Also, the lock on the front door was a little tricky, but it will lock. The washer/dryer combo was a great amenity to have after a full day of hiking and swimming! You will not be disappointed in choosing this cabin.This was my 2nd time to stay at The Retreat, and I will definitely be back!

Enjoyable

This was the perfect home base for our weekend exploring the area and attending a concert at The Caverns (outstanding venue, by the way!). The space had everything the two of us needed to relax and unwind, including a well-appointed kitchen where we cooked a couple of meals. While the home sleeps six, we think it would be best suited to that size group if four of the guests were kids and the outdoor space could be utilized. We were sorry that the weather didn’t cooperate so that we could take advantage of the deck and fire pit areas; they were lovely! Our only issue involved a bit of trouble with getting the heat to kick on, but the host responded to our message immediately and we got it sorted. Highly recommend!

Great Tiny house adventure! Only negatives, a few ants in the kitchen and our grill didn’t work. A Maintenance man came quickly but didn’t have a replacement. The house was very clean and cozy! :) We would stay again! :)

Our family of 6 stayed in this home for 3 nights and loved it!! The house itself was perfectly designed and decorated and had everything we needed. The deck was a perfect addition to watch the sunset and watch the kids play and fish. It has an awesome fire pit and dock to roast s’mores on and do some fishing. We will definitely consider coming back!

Retreat Yourself is a great tiny home getaway. Best location in the community with a large lot on the lake front with a secluded feel.

The setting is great and we enjoyed our stay. A few things to know: there is no microwave so plan accordingly! The master bedroom mattress is VERY soft and covered in a plastic protective cover, very annoying but if you turn on the fan it helps to cut down on the plastic rustling with your every move.

We loved our stay at the Retreat! The tiny cabin was cozy, clean and perfectly located on the lake. It felt very private, and we especially loved the dock. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs, the linens were clean and there was propane for the fire table. Though not on the listing, we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing wood burning fire pit located at the end of the property by the lake. Although not a deal breaker, the lock on the door was difficult to open and the door's latch did not seem secure. We'd recommend keyless entry be installed. Nonetheless, we'll be back and have spread the word to friends about this amazing cabin!
