This tiny home had all that was needed for an enjoyable weekend. Loved being right near the trailhead that goes down to the waterfalls. Some of the group even swam below the falls. Being at the rear of the community there's less traffic with people entering and exiting the community, though there's hardly any of that anyway. Great place to stay!

Lovely house in a lovely area. The house was small but well-equipped. The waterfall on the property was stunning (the short walk was tough). Had a great time kayaking on the lake that was available to use. Enjoyed the nearby Caverns and hiking.

Had an awesome time staying at this location. Perfect for a concert at the Caverns and hiking the the South Cumberland.

We looked at several options for our weekend and decided to stay here. It was exactly as described and very clean. We were quite impressed. Great communication with the owners. I love the outdoor swing but we had a torrential downpour the entire weekend so I will be back to enjoy that at some point. Loved every minute of our stay. Close enough to local restaurants and even larger towns if you want more options.

Great place to live. We did face some water related issue after check-in but the host was quick to resolve the issue. We enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful and cozy, just as described! Booked suuuper last minute for a trip with my sister, and we’re almost immediately accepted/booked! Saved me a lot of stress. We had a really quick and short trip, and it was exactly what we needed! Check in/check out was super easy, wish we had a longer visit bc there was so much locally we’d have loved to explore! The binder for guests had pages and pages of scenic spots/waterfalls to see, and local events, and places to eat at, we’d have loved to do if we had more time! 100% recommend for anyone coming to the area!

The cozy cottage was the perfect place to stay for a weekend at The Caverns for Cave Jam. It was super clean and very easy to get to. We had a great time hanging out on the porch swing and watching movies when it was pouring rain. Would definitely recommend Cozy Cottage. Love the keyless entry as there was no need to coordinate a meet up for the key due to a late arrival. Five stars!!

The Cozy Cottage was clean, beautifully decorated, and outfitted with many amenities. We especially enjoyed having direct access to the Deer Lick Trail, an excellent perk for this property. The waterfall is a must-see! Both mornings we woke up to deer crossing the property which was a fun surprise. We would love to book this property again for future getaways.

We stayed here in Feb and we wanted to repeat our trip with our daughters. So happy we did! We love the tiny touches of the tiny home, all the amenities to include the smart tv. We enjoyed visiting Sewanee, the hike to Deer Lick Falls, and a great meal at High Point Restaurant.

Great place to stay for the night to attend the caverns, 100% recommend for about 3-4 people!

Wife and I had great time at the Cozy Cottage. Lot location is one of the best spots within the community. Private and close to the trailhead and pavilion. Can't go wrong choosing this one. We greatly enjoyed our time and will be back.

We had such a great time on this trip! We are so excited to come back again! Sad that the falls weren’t flowing but the hike was still beautiful!

This will not be our last visit to this cottage! It is so cozy and cute. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s only a 7 minute drive to Monteagle’s main area. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy and the swing on the porch was so nice to relax on. The trailhead to the falls was steps from our porch. It’s a quick drive from Nashville and we are already looking at our calendar to book this place again soon!

This was the second time I stayed in a cabin at The Retreat. It was a very positive experience and I’m sure I will be booking cabins with then in the future.

This place was really nice when it comes to cleanliness and the host's behavior. The surrounding was quite and peaceful. The two issues I faced in the house was that it was really cramped, there was no space to move freely. The second is that there was no privacy. The bathroom had no curtains, bedroom had no curtains, etc. There was no place to change clothes literally.

Cozy cottage lives up to its name in the quiet forested area of Dear Lick Trail! The cottage is fully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay in the mountains. The property backs up to undeveloped forest and is very quiet and peaceful. The cottage is new and very clean, with well laid out. We would definitely stay here again!

This is our 4th stay in this group of mini homes. It is always perfect and clean with all the amenities. Highly recommended.

My wife and I sort of threw this trip together quickly for the long MLK weekend, we drove up from Huntsville, just a bit over an hour drive and we were there. We knew of the Tiny Cottages Retreat having visited the area around Savage Gulf many times in the last few years, we were so excited when our days could be accommodated. I have wanted to stay in a Tiny House for a long time to just check out for sure how I might like one; it was just a delight and a wonderful long weekend, and SNOW! Having snow was a total surprise, when we topped the Cumberland Plateau and the ground was covered in white and winter crisp air - wow! Then we arrived at Cozy Cottage at Deer Lick Falls Retreat and discovered that the waterfall was so close and we could hear the water; natural music! Wooded peace! Cozy Cottage is beautiful, clean, inviting and fully setup and stocked with most everything you need, just bring your food, beverages and personal items, books and the games of you choice, although there many games in the cottage already along with many DVDs and a nice big smart TV and WIFI. The living room is very comfortable, warmed with the glow from the electric fireplace, the large windows that stretch the width of two sides of the room are very expansive and you can fully retract the blinds and be warm and visually let the forest in, the perfect way and place to unwind with coffee in hand, and a great book. The kitchen is nice, a medium to large refrigerator, full 5 eye stove and oven, blender, coffee maker, all the utensils and dishes and pots you could need, large sink, all ready to use. The bathroom was very nice, clean and stocked, the bedroom is private although small, it is a tiny home after all but comfortable and a nice quiet place to rest up from all the walking and sightseeing you have been doing. The loft is a perfect place for children, should you bring them or have them, carpeted to control sound and full floor for rolling about. This is a wonderful place and we will be back!

Second time staying in the neighborhood and we loved it just as much as the first time! Great weekend getaway and a lovely stay.

We loved our stay for a girls trip at the Cozy Cottage! We had originally booked another tiny home, but the wifi was broken when we arrived. The property manager was very responsive and moved us to the Cozy Cottage when they could not fix the wifi. There were some spiderwebs on the porch areas and a millipede in our bathtub, but nothing too extreme! We are looking forward to coming back!

Our stay in Cozy Cottage left us wanting more. It was a fantastic mini getaway from regular day to day life and responsibilities. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable. The property and surrounding properties were picturesque and seemed to blend in with their surroundings. The hike to the nearby Deer Lick Falls was magical. We also drove over to the lakeside community as well and really enjoyed sitting at the communal dock and taking in that experience as well. Definitely made us leave wanting to own our own and picture our family coming there for getaways. Location in proximity to the state parks, Nashville, and Chattanooga was really nice. Enjoyed the Mountain Goat Market restaurant and the Dutch Bakery in Tracy City. Greeter Falls was our favorite hike and spot to swim while we were there. South Cumberland SP was also nearby and had several hikes to enjoy. What a magical community that is being created with these tiny home retreats!

This little place was perfectly nestled into the edge of the woods with a trail in the back leading into the main trails. The inside is cozy and comfortable. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the place! Easy check in and check out. I love that the retreat is gated so my children and I felt safe. We’ll definitely be placing another visit!

This was one of our best weekends in a long time. Enjoyed the falls, the space was clean, and High Point restaurant is a few miles down the road. Can't wait to return!

I've stayed in a few of the properties here at Deer Lick and, while they're all wonderful, the location of the Cozy Cottage really sets it apart. You can hear the falls and the brook from the porch bed/swing, which makes for a pretty perfect afternoon. While I was there, a storm blew through and knocked the power out. I called the maintenance number listed and got a call back within minutes, even on the weekend, and someone from the power company came out with half an hour. The property management company also called to follow up and make sure we were all squared away with power. I don't think I could have gotten back online that quickly at home! Cozy, peaceful, lovely home. I'll be back, for sure!

This true tiny home was wonderful for our small group. We loved the porch swing views and easy access to the waterfall trail head. We loved getting to experience living in a tiny home (with all the amenities of a full home) for the weekend. Looking forward to another trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Cottage and The Retreat. This was our first time ever staying in a "tiny house". We have been thinking of buying one for ourselves and this was the perfect way to see how living in one would be. We felt at home while staying here, and that was very much appreciated. My wife really enjoyed the "fireplace", the fire pit and the trails. I enjoyed the peace and quiet, great location for that. We will definitely be return customers and maybe a buyer. I loved that the property was gated and seemed like a little community. There were a couple different hiking trails on the property. We took a hike to a waterfall that was absolutely gorgeous. We weren't expecting it to be as nice as it was. The house was also super convenient to town and to Sewanee. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Very cozy. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the tiny home was great! Really clean, great location, tons of stuff to enjoy while we were there without really having to leave the area. Will definitely be back! A small note with no bearing on our enjoyment of the stay but the loft space really agitated my allergy to dust or pet hair one. Couldn’t be up there for more than 5 minutes without itchy eyes and sneezing. Simple solution, don’t go up there if you have easily aggravated allergies. Totally fine while we were on the base level. We loved the Retreat and will be back soon hopefully!

This stay was incredible! The home is even cuter than pictured in a great tiny home community. The waterfall on the property is just a short hike from the house and is seriously breathtaking.

Describing the property would do it NO JUSTICE. My wife and I stayed at the Cozy Cottage May 14th-May 19th. You could hear the falls from the porch swing. 🤗 The trail to the falls started RIGHT at the foot of the steps on the porch. Perfect.

We had always wanted to stay in a tiny home and toured the model last year so last week after dinner with my college student, it was too late to drive back to Atlanta so we called to inquire and were overjoyed to make a last-minute reservation. The lady was polite and informative helping us to pick the ideal unit. It was secluded and perfectly appointed. Unfortunately we arrived late at night and left early in the morning when it was rainy, but it felt like a brand new home. We are going to book for Thanksgiving! Thank you again!
