Calm Waters at The Retreat at Water's Edge

Very nice stay! Clean, secluded, and their’s a very nice restaurant down the road! An hour drive from Chattanooga made it perfect for a weekend getaway! I would make sure you drive a Truck or SUV to the property, the short drive on the gravel road gets a little bumpy. Overall, I would stay here again!

This is my third time using Air BnB for a Retreat hosted property. They informed me the day before that our usual spot had a malfunctioning hot tub. But they did not miss a beat, offered 2 alternatives at no cost. They are responsive, do what they say and friendly. Ill be returning for sure.

We enjoyed this beautiful home with a perfect sunrise view at the lake. The hot tub was so relaxing each evening. The home is tastefully decorated and most importantly the beds are very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.

The Calm Waters was everything we needed for our family as a little getaway as semi locals. Hot Tub was relaxing and the views and fishing and just everything needed to cook as if you were at home. The sky at night and fire pit and smores is a definitely a purchase to make before hand and the coal for the grill and it made perfect dinners. It was evenings to be remembered!

Our family had such a wonderful time at this cabin. We kayaked, we had a bonfire, we played games, we RELAXED! They really thought of everything. We all LOOOVVVED our time there! We will absolutely return!

Just an amazing lake home with everything you could possibly need while on vacation. I truly want to move there now!

Calm waters was amazing! Everything about it! Would def stay again! Great house, loved the lake: kayaking and paddle boarding, and the hot tub and fire pit was fabulous! Great getaway from the world!

We had several family members come to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Sewanee for the weekend. Calm Waters was a perfect landing spot for a full weekend! Would definitely stay here again when we can take advantage of the hot tub and do some kayaking!

We can’t say enough good things about our stay! (Our only regret is not staying longer). Beautiful scenery, beautiful house. Everything was clean, beds were very comfortable, the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need (high chairs, baby gates, even an air fryer and crock pot!) They blew us away with how great this place is. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

My besties and I stayed in this beautiful cozy home and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. From the cozy vibes, to having all the home amenities you can imagine, and the beautiful views we cannot say enough good about this place. The only bad thing we can say is we didn’t book enough time. Can’t wait to come back!

This place was perfect for our family of 4! No one wanted to leave after our 3 days were up. We enjoyed the area during the day, but spent our mornings and afternoon/evenings at this quiet hideaway. We fished, had fires every night, enjoyed the hot tub, and Mom enjoyed reading 2 books on the porch rocking chair! The house was incredibly well stocked, I was so surprised. It was a breeze to cook dinner, even did a load of laundry after the kids got their clothes dirty hiking. We have already been plotting out when we are coming back. Next time we are bringing kayaks!

This property exceeded expectations with its perfect, clean interior and excellent amenities, including a hot tub and lake access for paddle boarding. The coveted deck is also a beautiful space for group meals or just listening to the sounds of frogs at night. Leaving this one feeling recharged!

A nice destination for a quite & peaceful getaway.

We were seeking a calm, get away from our busy every day life. This tiny home brought us the tranquility and peace that was necessary and what we were craving. From the attention to detail to the location, this house had everything! It definitely left us with many memories and has become one of our favorite family getaways. Everything was immaculate, all the essentials you need and environment to satisfy your vacation needs and souls desires! Thank you for creating a home away from home. Memories we will never forget!

Really lovely spot just outside of Sewanee/Monteagle short drive for 4th of July celebrations. Home is big enough! Nice dock to launch our paddle board and lake was nice. Enjoyed the porch for meals and lounging with kids. Hot tub and fire pit were a great bonus but did not use this time. Will be back, just loved this spot. Kids also enjoyed playing at the community playground.

My five college friends came for a two day getaway, and it was perfect! Plenty of room and the house was clean and decorated so cute! We hiked, ate and enjoyed ourself completely. You will love this cute tiny house!

Beautiful retreat.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Calm Waters. The private fishing dock was very well used, he didn’t catch much but fished every day. We got to relax and unwind from the every day hectic rat race. We will definitely be back to this little slice of peace and quiet! We’re already working on our next visit, with friends. The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. The beds were actually very comfortable. This was way more than a 5 Star vacation!!!

Calm Waters is an excellent spot for a relaxing, comfortable getaway. We made the quick drive up from Nashville on a Friday evening and found the home to be very thoughtfully prepared for our arrival. There was even a pizza cutter in the kitchen to cut the gourmet frozen pizza my wife had prepared for our dinner. The porch affords a beautiful view, where we spent the majority of our time relaxing. We took a few short trips into Tracy City and Monteagle both of which are very easily accessible from the house. We also enjoyed sitting on the dock and playing cards/reading. We plan to come back often!

We had a wonderful stay! It was peaceful and the view was gorgeous! It was spotless, very clean. It was everything as described and more. The kitchen was well appointed with every appliance you would ever need. We will definitely return!
