Hosts are great and the place is very nice. The only issue we had was getting there. The address listed on the app was different than the address we received in the email. Other than that I was incredibly happy with my stay.

The place was very nice. Couldn't ask for a better place. Just wish you had piles of firewood to us at the fire pits

Loved it!!

We enjoyed our one night at the Retreat at Water's Edge. It was very peaceful with a nice deck for outdoor seating and a fire pit area. The hosts were so gracious and very responsive. This place is close to Tracy City's downtown, with access to local restaurants (Hank's Corner Grille, Dutch Maid Bakery, La Rancera Mexican Restaurant, Tracside, and Poetbellies Family Restaurant) and local attractions (Grundy County Heritage Center and Baggenstoss Farms). We also enjoyed the close walkable access to the paved Mountain Goat Trail and Fiery Gizzard Trail. If you enjoy getting outdoors and enjoying nature on the southern Cumberland Plateau, then this place is for you, with plenty of hiking and scenic views in the South Cumberland State Park. It is also a perfect place to stay if you are seeing a musical act/festival down the mountain at the Caverns.

Absolutely beautiful tiny house in such a neat community. Highly recommend!

My two teenagers and I had a great time in this tiny home. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thankful for the Murphy bed and the loft to accommodate both teenagers and give them both a little privacy. Great hiking nearby and got to explore Sewanee and Winchester, TN too. The home was exactly what we needed and as described. Hoping to visit again sometime soon. Thanks!

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to stay for the night. This was a great place to crash. It was compact but that is expected for tiny home. It is in a nice secluded spot in the woods. Retreat was very proactive and provided all the info we needed beforehand.

The little tiny home community was amazing and well thought out. Little common areas for sitting, a playground, a dock, etc. The tiny home itself was super cute, very clean, and peacful. The firepit area and patio were really cool, and there was plenty of space to throw around a football.

Good spot for people who want to hike. Would come back

Stay was great! Retreat was super clean and cozy.

Google maps can be misleading. Better to arrive before sundown. We plan to go again. Great place, very peaceful.

This tiny home was everything me and my wife could have hoped for. It was quiet, precious, and plenty of room for us to enjoy ourselves and get lost from the public. We took a walk through the community and enjoyed seeing the cutest tiny home neighborhood possible. Hidden away in nature, with lots of walking trails close by. We made future plans to come back and honestly can’t wait for our next return.

We had a great time! It was a very nice and relaxing area for a winter weekend away!

Muy bonito lugar

Highly suggest this as a quick getaway.

Very nice stay

Great place if you like to go on hikes and to enjoy peaceful unrealistic views.

A mi familia y a mi nos encanto el lugar, si duda regresaríamos de nuevo.

Very clean and comfortable furnitures! Nice firm beds. Grateful for a well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and blankets. We didn’t need the murphy bed but the idea is super cute. Love the upstairs also for naps! Location is great nearby the entrance for walking distance to trails or a short ride to multiple trailheads. Very quiet despite being closer to the road. Thank you for the Adventurer’s vibes and it was a short yet perfect 3 nights getaway weekend for us and to be one with nature!

Such an amazing staycation for us that we ended up booking extra nights. Very convenient to The Caverns music venue & the perfect place to stay if you’re in town for a show.

a couple buddy's of mine and i got the opportunity to stay at this awesome retreat for a few days! it was super chill...it had everything we needed to cook, and the beds were super comfortable! there wasn't a shortage of ac as well! we got the opportunity to chull ob the dock for a sunset and talk and that was awesome, as well as played a round of corn hole down by the lake! highly recommend staying in this airbnb!

Great place! Clean and nice amenities! Loved it!

Nos encantó el lugar la casa pequeña era muy acogedora, queremos regresar para navidad pero en una cabaña más nueva

Nice and quiet location. Clean and pleasant main living room and outdoor area. Bedroom was a little tight but comfortable enough.

It was stunning to walk out on to the porch in the morning

beautiful and relaxing little spot. my kiddos loved the loft and the playground down the road from our spot. the porch and fire pit were so relaxing. everything had its place and it was just so cute! some things needed batteries, and the washer was out of order, i didn’t know that before arrival. but aside from that it was phenomenal and i will be back! 😊

Quiet, relaxing and most of all peaceful! This place was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of things. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to unplug and relax…

Very cozy tiny homes with very comfortable amenities. If you are going to see a show ar the caverns, this is the place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay in a cute well appointed tiny home. Great outdoor living area. Beautiful local our only regret was not staying longer. The greatest compliment I can give is whether I would come back - absolutely!

Great place to stay. Was in town for a concert at the Caverns. Easy to get to.

The place was absolutely perfect! I also have to shout out the rental group for going above and beyond for us and communicating so well. I booked the wrong weekend and they helped me switch our booking to the correct weekend, seamlessly. We will be back!

This was such a cute place, the stay was great. The main issue was not having super clear communication. Somehow the emails weren’t being delivered through the Airbnb app, it was through whomever managed the location. I didn’t receive the check in info . The address given at initial booking was not the correct address . Arrival was a little confusing , I called and got the correct address & everything went smooth afterwards. Would of been great to have a small stock pile of wood at the location, other than that-everything was great! Would love to book for a future weekend trip

A beautiful cabin in Monteagle. Tons of great trail systems close by make it a great base to rest/recover between hikes. Super comfortable furniture and beds as well.

A beautiful place! The home was cozy and peaceful! The area was amazing! Highly recommend!!

Great place.

Beautiful property and wonderful stay

.

Amazing place, there are other tiny homes close by even though it doesn’t look like it in the pictures. Overall amazing place and beautiful scenery in the area. 20 minute drive to the caverns. Really pretty and safe neighborhood.

Great home to stay in to explore the area or see a show at the Caverns!

This was a great spot for a quick getaway! My kids had an amazing time and we will definitely be coming back!

This was our first trip and absolutely loved it. We live in Nashville and it’s great to have something so good, so close. Great, light hiking. Eat Breakfast at Rosie’s, and Mt Goat for lunch. We will be back next year for sure.

Absolutely loved this place. The decor and location amongst the the other tiny homes and the lake is extraordinary! The home was spacious for 2, well stocked for a weekend getaway and watching our daughter play soccer her senior year season at the University of the South! The home was spotless, never had to think about wiping anything down. Came equipped with 3 separate ac units (small split units) so setting the right temp for each space was so easy. The home also comes with an electric fireplace which was very comforting watching the football game and drinking some wine 😬 so much outdoor gathering space along with a fire pit located near by with extra seating! I would recommend this place but only when I don’t have it booked again 🤣

Amazing stay perfect location. Can’t wait to go back.

Great little community

It was awesome i loved the firepit❤️

Such a cute little house in the woods!

The pictures of this place will draw you in, but they fall short of how amazing this place really is. It's quiet, secluded, clean and so peaceful. If you need a get away to reset yourself and just relax..... look no further. This is a must see.

Great little community! Loved our stay

Lovely little tiny house in easy location! Liked the office/bedroom combo & soft sitting area in loft but the fire-pit, rocking chairs and deck were a super hit! Enjoyable community that seems to be growing.

Great stay!

Great place very convenient to many beautiful trails and waterfalls.

We had fun staying at The Adventurer while dropping son at college. Daughter loved reading on the deck and staying in the loft. The outside space and walking down to the dock really add an extra. This was slightly smaller than other we’ve stayed at /Deer Lick but the convertible office/sleeper was grand use of space. Super location for Bigfoot Adventures and Dutch Maid Bakery trips!!! Everything we needed was there. ( I already message about maintenance needs). Thanks for making everything a breeze!

Best little hideaway ever!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Great place!

Definitely plenty of space in this tiny house. Everything you need is right there. Beautiful property with peace and quiet. Would definitely return.

This tiny home was a great value, perfect location, and well appointed. We enjoyed our time & would stay again!

Great time in Grundy county, easy in and out and the place was beautiful.

We were really expecting to be cramped but were excited for the experience. Our kids loved the loft area and had plenty of room. We had everything we needed there on location. Home was very cozy, clean, and beautiful. Would definitely return in the future for a longer stay.

This stay was magical ! 10/10 would recommend for a romantic and private get away.

Other than a couple slight hiccups, it was a nice place to stay. Just search for that email they are supposed to send you before you get there so you don’t get lost like we did.

We did have great time , house is well equipped , kitchen has all You need to cook or grill .. short walk and you can relax by the lake , you can go kayaking or padle board on the lake . We looking forward to be back when whole community will build and pool will be open .

Perfect house for a getaway!

Loved our stay here. Check in and out was super easy and it was a great location with beautiful scenery for a quiet little getaway.

Great place. Though it is considered a tiny home, it was very spacious and provided everything we needed! Would recommend if in the area!

Cutest tiny house in a beautiful area. We enjoyed it so much.

Great place. Wish it would be more clean

absolutely stunning! loved every second, fun to adventure around, cozy little cabin, the only thing is that there’s a lot of check-out chores to do, but it’s worth it in my opinion. will be coming back!

Awesome little spot. Great living room and has all amenities. Good solid choice for small group of 3-4.

Great place overall. The pictures are exactly what you get. The only complaint I had was sheets with pet hair on them but the property manager had come within about 2 hours of the request to fix that. It showed that the attention to detail hadn’t been taken fully and hopefully that’s just a one time thing for them. Everything else was awesome, beds were too firm for my liking but some might be ok with that. I will definitely want to come back.

We (mom's weekend) enjoyed the Adventurer. We've stayed in another tiny house and this one has a few more extra, upscale touches: nice furniture, extra trim pieces, Weber grill (we didn't use it) and a dishwasher. The only time we felt space was an issue was when we were packing to leave and had our bags everywhere. The kitchen didn't have storage for our food/snacks...maybe some type of basket on the wall or some creative solution would work but we just had stuff all over the counters and on top of the fridge - which wasn't a huge deal. The mattresses were nice and outdoor space beautiful (but unfortunately we chose the windiest weekend ever & weren't able to use the porch). This house is near the front of the community so we didn't hear any construction noises but also didn't have the greatest view (give and take, lol). We would stay here again and quickly recommend it to others!

Great place to stay!

This tiny cabin is the perfect getaway to just relax and take some time for yourself in the mountains. It was actually more spacious than I was expecting and the space is utilized very well. There are plenty of beds and places to lounge. The cabin was clean and organized. The outside area was super cute with a fire pit, rocking chairs, and a dining table with chairs (although it was raining throughout our entire trip, so we couldn't really use any of the outside amenities). It was easy to get to and the check-in/out process was a breeze. I would definitely book this cabin again.

Very gorgeous property!! So much space for a time home. They also had just about everything you need to cook whatever you wanted. Only negative I can say is there is absolutely no lake view and the Mountain View was a stretch. You can see it just a little through the trees but I’m sure in the spring when the leaves grow back you will see nothing. Besides that everything was great and what they are building throughout is really cute and makes us want to come back and stay in a different house 🤗

Positives - Beautiful, clean, private, cozy. Great place to get “off the grid” and feel safe and comfortable. Negative - You will have to wash dishes and take out garbage even though you’re paying a cleaning fee.

Super cute place! Quiet and cozy!

The cabin was great! Great view, more space than we had thought, and perfect location for our trip!

Great place

Place was overall amazing. I would definitely recommend for everyone to visit this cabin at some point. It felt safe, amazing and had a great view. It’s not secluded you have neighbors about 14-19 feet away but everything is all quiet and tranquil. You’re 1 hour and about 20 minutes away from Nashville and 50 minutes away from Chattanooga. Overall we had a great time. The cabin had everything we needed including hot water that never ran out. I would definitely come back again even if the beds were quite a bit too hard for our taste.

Clean and beautiful place to spend with family

I absolutely loved the cabin, it was serene and just perfect. You’re about 1 hour and 10 mins from Nashville and about 40 mins from Chattanooga. I was able to travel all around and have a great and safe trip. I would recommend this to anyone. The kitchen has all the essentials to cook, and the cabin had access to netflix, Hulu etc. it also had a great scenery and activities to do inside. Overall great trip!

Beautiful location. A perfect spot to get away and relax outdoors with all the modern comforts. Spacious and very cozy. While there was construction elsewhere in the community, this location was quiet and peaceful. Check in was super easy! We’ll be back next year!!

Super cute

Adventurer is a quaint tiny home nestled in the woods and was the perfect getaway to rest and relax! We plan to book again in the future!

Good communication. Cool location.

Loved this tiny house! Was perfect for our girls trip and they confirmed fast & last minute! Cute neighborhood and pretty views! Would definitely visit again!

The location, the property and the entire experience with Adventure Therapy Foundation was bonding for my family and a wonderful, much-needed getaway! The tiny house had everything we would need and more! We did our best to do all of the suggestions that Lauren gave to us! One was just better than the next! The fire pit kept us warm in the evening and the rocking chairs on the porch were perfect for reading during the day! I would recommend the Adventurer and hope to be back soon!

Everything about my experience staying at Adventurer was great. I had clear, contact-less check in/out instructions. I did call the reservations office a couple times with questions that were answered immediately. We had 4 adults and two kids, ages 6 and 8, in the tiny home. Other than waiting for the bathroom occasionally, the home accommodated us very well. It never felt cramped. Loved the abundance of outdoor living space with the deck and fire pit area. The home was clean and well maintained (and obviously not very old). We would visit again!

We love this place so much that we’re looking into purchasing a property in one of the communities!

10/10 would recommend to anyone. Not only do they provide pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay, but the location is perfect as well. Definitely will need to return when this place is no longer under construction to visit the lake. We also had no issues with construction workers or anything at all. Our stay was perfect.

This getaway was a magical one for our family!!! It’s beautiful, much bigger than anticipated, and had all of our basic necessities! There are lots of ponds to fish, beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls nearby, and just in all in all wonderful location. The back bonfire area, and patio dining area where are two favorite spots! We would DEFINITELY stay again.

This tiny home was perfect for our mini vacation! They provided just about everything you need to be comfortable and not to mention the area and place itself was stunning. Definitely will have to feature for a longer visit once this place is no longer under construction!

My friend and I stayed here for a quick 2 day getaway. We needed a place to relax that wasn't too far from hiking, and this was the perfect fit. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and equipped the place was. We had everything we needed to cook and start a campfire, as well as the usual amenities like wifi and TV. You can tell no detail was overlooked in equipping this place. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back once the lakeside dock is built and kayak rentals are available.

It was a very nice place, very clean and cute touches. In the original email you’re sent from the Airbnb website it give you an address then you get another email from the company with a completely different address which makes it confusing. There’s a lot of construction going on in the retreat complex which they start hammering and sawing things early in the morning which was frustrating being that you’re there to relax. Another issue with the construction is the construction workers who will literally run you off the gravel road that they’re flying down and have no regard for the posted speed limit or the guests. The construction workers aren’t supposed to use the main entrance, it’s posted when you first pull in that they are to use the back entrance but they still use the front entrance. It has potential to be a great and relaxing place but being that there’s still so much contraction and the construction workers having little respect for guests really kill it.

This place was gorgeous inside & out. The back patio was perfect for a night of s’mores making and the pathway was well lit. The inside of the tiny home was like staying in a swanky, cozy hotel. It feels brand new and the mattress was phenomenal. We both passed out within a minute of laying down.

Our family loved the Adventurer. It is a beautiful home with plenty of space for everyone and a sweet upstairs. We found everything thought through that we could possibly need. A well equipped kitchen, full size beds, bath tub and washer and dryer. It was such a relaxing place to unwind for the weekend. The view looks out to the west so we enjoyed the sunset each night from the rockers on the deck or down by the fire pit. Each day we had many options to chose from what to explore. Whether it was the nearby lake to fish, waterfalls or dinner in nearby towns, the options definitely were more than the time we had. Whether we chose to stay in or go out we were surrounded by the beauty of Tennessee trees and rolling hills. Very grateful for our time in this sweet place and for the memories made.

A beautiful tiny home in a beautiful location. The home is very modern and has plenty of amenities. A great stay for a group of friends or family. Make sure before booking that you really read the description & that there isn’t any construction going on as it was the one downfall to our short vacation. It was very noisy on all sides of us and unfortunately kept us from having peace and quiet in the early morning and throughout the day. As well as that, a few times upon returning to the Adventurer we found that workers doing construction next to us had parked in the driveway preventing us from being able to drive right in.

The place was nice and accommodating. They set things in the home perfectly, so know one got jammed in a small space.

WiFi would have made our stay a 5. Very well appointed and comfortable

Great location and very clean! The host responded to our requests promptly. Once the construction is completed and they have WiFi, it will be perfect. We knew that going into the rental so it wasn't an issue. Will definitely stay here again!

Great getaway spot! Peaceful and relaxing. We were looking for a place to unwind and disconnect from the busyness of life and this spot made It easy! They are still developing the area so there was a bit of construction going on, but it didn’t bother us :)

Clean, cute and charming weekend getaway with everything you need.

We loved this home! It was beautiful and had everything we needed and then some! We loved the fire pit area and outdoor dining space! The retreat staff was very helpful and kind!!!! We also enjoyed hiking at the Deer Lick retreat area! Can’t wait for the Water’s Edge community to be finished!! Looking forward to going back!

What a wonderful community! The Retreat at Waters Edge was the perfect get away. The tiny house didn’t feel tiny at all. I really enjoyed the well designed outdoor space too! The porch had a wonderful sunset vista. Will definitely be back. Thanks y’all!

This place was great! Super cute, super stylish, surprisingly spacious, and very well stocked. Only stayed for one night but would love to come back for longer and use the awesome fire pit. Beautiful area! Thanks so much for an awesome stay!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a Valentine's treat. The place was incredibly modern yet cozy. Amenities and supplied utensils etc were very handy. The host was easy to contact and friendly. We would definitely visit again, we wish we could live in a place like that!

Super cute tiny house with a modern twist. It's in a neighborhood that's still being built so we (my gf and I) were the only 2 people there. It's about an hour drive from Chattanooga so still within reasonable distance. It is in a different time zone though. I'd give it 5 stars but there's a few things I have to nitpick at: -The outside fire pit doesn't have any sort of drain so if it rains it floods with water making it unusable. -The AC system hardly worked - the heating did not work and the cooling capabilities were limited/finnicky on all of the AC units. It's a very straight forward system so I'm not sure what the issue is. -Hardly any space for dry goods/groceries. Would much rather have a shelf space under the stairs instead of the rack for the broom. -The inside fireplace doesn't work. It was plugged in and the remote had a battery but it wouldn't turn on. Maybe the battery just needs to be replaced but that shouldn't come at my expense. -The beds desperately need to be broken in. They're hard as a rock. The pillows are not great either. They're way too fluffy and offer little support. I recommend bringing your own pillow. I won't dock for lack of wifi because it's specifically advertised that this is a work in progress. I recommend bringing a laptop or something similar if you want to watch DVDs or play games. You can hook an HDMI cable from a laptop to the TV. Don't take my nitpicks as a reason to not travel here. This tiny home is honestly amazing. I would absolutely come here again if given the option. It's very modern and has a great look. The location is fairly secluded so you feel like you have a good bit of privacy. The place is virtually noise proof as well. Never once heard the construction workers across the street.

Great location and very responsive property manager. Thank you!

The cabin was absolutely lovely and just right for a weekend away. I especially appreciated the quotes hung on the walls. Such a nice touch. It felt like a cozy home. I highly recommend Adventurer for anyone who wants to re-connect with nature in a memorable location.

Adventurer at The Retreat at Water's Edge, February 2021

We LOVED this house!! So many sleeping options. We had a great time. We can not wait for Water's Edge to be complete so we can enjoy the amenities. There is no WIFI yet, however, I just hot spotted my phone and we were good to go. We can not wait to come back...Such a beautiful relaxing getaway!

Lovely and luxurious place to stay! The tiny house is very nicely decorated with great modern amenities and outdoor dining space. Once there’s internet, the two Samsung Smart TVs will be great to watch shows on. The nearby towns are very small, but it’s close to some great state parks. I would recommend arriving before dark, as the road to access the various lots are currently unpaved and can be hard to navigate without light.

This property was fabulous! Bed was very comfortable! Loved the full size fridge and stove!!! The covered outside porch was great since it rained one of our days! Tastefully decorated and we had one of our best vacations ever!!! WiFi was not available which we would have enjoyed watching a ball game , but maybe next time!

The Adventurer is adorable and provided plenty of space and relaxation to my family of 3.
