Very roomy for a tiny house, could easily sleep 6! Fully furnished kitchen with cooking utensils and seasonings in the cabinet! Love it

On the Edge at The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls, November 2025

Very quiet and serene. Beautiful dark skies. Will certainly visit again.

Clean, cute home in a wonderful location. Easy drive to everywhere you need to get to, and although it is not “secluded”, you feel that way! Fire pits are the best added touch. We will be booking again!

The tiny house was as advertised. The check in process and instructions were clear and well thought out. The home was clean and well stocked. Highly recommend.

On The Edge in the Retreat is quiet, comfortable and clean in a truly beautiful setting. A tiny house that doesn't feel too tiny...just a stroll from lovely hiking trails and a quick drive into town and on to Sewanee. We cooked in the kitchen, which was well stocked. We love this area. Thank you!

Nice home for the two of us - we didn’t use the loft but it looked perfect for small children. The Deer Lick falls community was very quiet and just a short drive down the mtn to the Caverns. I would suggest some outdoor cushion covers to protect the deck furniture. It’s a covered porch but the furniture still got wet with rain and a very humid time of year.

It was just as the listing stated. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean all you could ask for a stay in the mountains.

We stayed at this property overnight for a Chase Rice concert at the Caverns. It was perfect for me and two friends. Close proximity to the Caverns, clean property, and great host communication. We’d definitely stay again!

definitely will stay again. beautiful place and location

This place and little tiny home community was absolutely beautiful. The homes are spaced far enough apart that you are able to have your own privacy. They left a guide book with things to do locally. We enjoyed our weekend stay and the surrounding area. We definitely plan on going back!

Loved this place. I can't wait to return!

Super clean and a great place to stay. Loved the outdoor area, just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy! Will visit again!

On The Edge was a perfect stay for myself and friends. We came down to stay for a concert at The Caverns and this location is convenient for that. Communication was smooth for check-in and check-out. If I ever happen to be in the area again will definitely be on the lookout for Retreat Vacations.

We stayed here attending a concert at The Caverns. Perfect place to stay! Exactly as described! We would love to come back!

Exactly as described! Such a fun place!

This tiny home is too cute! Everything in the home was well taken care of, clean and perfect for a relaxing weekend. It was peaceful and just what I needed for some intentional rest and reflection. I definitely plan to go again!

Great quiet place to stay!

Just like the others we have previously stayed in, this property was immaculate. I cannot say enough good things about this adorable little community. It’s close enough to Monteagle restaurants, yet far enough away from any noise pollution.

Perfect place for a family getaway

Great location with awesome trail and waterfall within walking distance of property. Highly recommend.

My family enjoyed our stay at this elegant little house. We went hiking and played golf at the Sewanee golf course, visited the Deer Lick falls twice. We had sweet memories. Thank you!

Typing something short since it’s required to leave a review, but this is the second time I have stayed in this retreat and it is truly a delightful experience. Both times have been for a concert at the caverns but planning on going back just for a weekend getaway with my fiancé. I highly recommend!

Thankful to getaway in the woods for the weekend. Clean and peaceful cabin.

Very nice and comfortable space

Cute, quaint, perfect little getaway for the weekend. Loved the close fire pit if you didn’t want to walk all the way down to the large one. Nice community in Deer Lick Falls.

Thanks for a perfect little get away.

Very cool place! We enjoyed our time and plan to be back with some friends!

Just loved my stay at On the Edge. It was quiet and clean and felt very private tucked back on the edge of the woods. I could not sit a single neighbor while sitting on the back porch, so quiet I could enjoy the birds and the wind through the trees. The house was well kept with everything that I needed, including soap and dishes, dishrags and towels and a soft throw blanket. The bed was very comfortable. The brita in the fridge was a nice touch. All the appliances worked well and the water pressure was great! I loved the hike down to the waterfall but found all the paths by the stream in the woods even more peaceful. I recommend Foster Falls and Fiery Gizzard trails for some longer hiking in the area.

On the Edge at The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls, August 2023

We didn’t use the fire pit but I loved it all tucked away down the trail!

this location is one of the best in my opinion. love where the fire pit is located and the way the path and the stairs are laid out. does need a real fire pit, though. overall, great stay. again, the location is one the best in the neighborhood - in my opinion. Felecia, with the rental company for the development, was SUPER helpful and so kind when I asked for her assistance! great experience!

I spent a long weekend here with my adult daughter and her best friend. It was the perfect place to relax, play cards, watch movies and just enjoy some time together. We will be back! We all would like to see other units available to accommodate a few more people. We had a great time. And … who knew … the nearby Piggly Wiggly has an incredible wine selection!! 😊

Thanks for sharing these wonderful tiny homes with us!

Great place

This home is so cute. It felt like we were on a movie set standing outside with the leaves falling. A veryyy cozy experience.

We liked it so much the first time we came back. Highly recommended.

Very nice house, tiny (it’s in the name!) but well laid out.

A great place to stay!

Small house with plenty of room for 3-4 adults. Beautiful quiet location.

The tiny home is just too cool! We’ve stayed in the resort a few times now and it is the perfect location if you are going to the Caverns. The property is quite and peaceful. Definitely explore the trails in the resort while you are there. The intermediate (blue trail on the sign) is beautiful. You can’t go wrong with booking this home for your visit.

Immaculate mini home with plenty of room for 3 -4 adults. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of surrounding beauty. Nice trail along the creek.

We loved our tiny home experience here! Just a really beautiful location—nothing but relaxing possible. :)

Great tiny house in a serene setting in the woods. We really enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a concert at the Caverns and the location of the house was perfect. We'll come back again!

This was our second stay at the Retreat and we'll definitely be back. The location, vibe, and value can't be beat.

Great location, owner is organized to help you check in and find easily. Easy and fun stay!

Enjoyed our stay at the Retreat!

If you are looking for somewhere to relax but also close enough to explore this is it!! The house was big enough for four adults to fit perfectly. Everything was clean when we arrived and checking in was super easy!! We will definitely be back soon!

such a beautiful home in a serene setting. if you're looking for a tiny home adventure, highly recommend this place. super clean and very comfortable.

Close proximity to the venue, Chattanooga, and surrounding area.

This was a perfect little house to relax in the woods. Not far from Chattanooga and still feels secluded. We also had a blast hiking down to the beautiful waterfall on the property!! Most definitely will be back soon!!

A great option if you're seeing a show at The Caverns. Cute, clean, super convenient, and the scenery is beautiful.

Such a great location and home. Very relaxing. Had friends over this time for dinner. Perfect.

This is our first stay in a tiny home. We were very impressed with its design and functionality. It is also nice that it is located in a gated, quiet community.

This is such a cute place! There’s a lot more room in the tiny house than I thought. I loved sitting out on the large deck that overlooks the woods. The location is great. A short drive to Monteagle, which has some great restaurants, but still feels really private. I wish we had more time to check out more of the area. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a spot in the area.

Great location and neat place

This was the perfect getaway for us! The house was so nice and such a relaxing environment. We wanted somewhere to escape to for a night and just relax.

This was a nice, quiet getaway for my husband and I. We had a great time driving around experiencing Monteagle and the surrounding towns. Highly recommend The Dixie Lee Diner for breakfast, Papa Ron’s Steakhouse, and Shenanigans (in Sewanee).

Our Christmas present to each other was a night away and this did not disappoint! We enjoyed every aspect of the area and were able to relax together. The perfect ending to our Christmas break!

Great getaway spot! Monteagle doesn’t disappoint! Tiny house was perfect for the two of us. Great little path to the creek hike.

This place is warm and cozy, 3 beds, kitchen has everything you need and communication with the retreat staff is superior. Cell service is limited in the area and bring your own tp. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area. It surely beats any hotel you’d think about staying at.

Deer Lick Retreat was the best around if you are looking for a mountain feel while exploring the South Cumberland area. The tiny houses are quaint clean and modern yet give that cabin feel. We stayed in the On the Edge for 4 nights it was perfect the fall colors were beautiful and the creek below was flowing quite nicely we could here it babbling from the porch. The washer and dryer made our trip very convenient beings this was our second stop and needed to wash. Check in and check out process was great no issues. We did leave a day earlier than expected due to a change in plans 4 nights is all we needed to explore this area so we decided to move on. My only recommendation would be to add a fireplace even if it’s electric it would make the living area more warm and cozy. We especially loved the huge waterfall at the end of the property. The hike isn’t long yet moderate but very rewarding! We have a camper but glad we stayed here instead for this trip because we did not see a desirable campground in this area within a 1.15 hr drive. We would definitely recommend and stay at Deer Lick Retreat again.

Very cool community. The cabin is indeed a bit tiny, especially the loft, but worked great as a base for hiking and The Caverns. I'd stay again

This place was perfect in so many ways. It is its own hidden getaway, tucked just a little ways away in the trees. The photos honestly don’t do this Airbnb justice. Would recommend staying for more than one night, we wish we had the opportunity to stay longer.

What a wonderful place to getaway! We will definitely be back.

Great location. Very clean. Beautiful setting. Price better than 2 hotel rooms for the 3 of us. Will definitely consider for future visits.

We needed somewhere to stay overnight while visiting our granddaughter at The University of the South - Sewanee. The tiny house was a great choice! Cute and in a beautiful location. The upstairs loft was an added bonus. We will Definitely consider this location for future visits.

What a great mini vacation in a mini house! Beautiful location, not far from Sewanee, so perfect place to stay for move-in weekend!

We had a good stay. Check in was easy, using the lockbox was very convenient so we didn't have to go to the office. The tiny house was more spacious than anticipated. Had a good amount of space for two of us and our dog. Place was fairly clean. Deck was a nice size too. TV worked great and so did wifi. Bed was pretty comfortable too if a little soft. Bathroom was a good size, it was a nice surprise to have a normal size shower. Definitely needed more kitchen towels (we had one!) and a sponge or scrubber to wash dishes as there is no dish washer. A dishrack would have been nice too to dry clean dishes. It was nice having a full size fridge and stove/oven though so we would cook there. I would also suggest getting a few table lamps for the 'living room/living space', the overhead lights are too bright to keep on while watching tv or relaxing in the evening. We enjoyed walking to the 'falls', which were not falling at all (perhaps not the right time of year?), but it was a nice hike and pretty area. It is not an 'easy' hike for those who are older or who have smaller kids. It is quite steep and rocky, but not impossible, just be careful. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. In my opinion, it's a little overpriced and we received a crazy amount of emails/texts leading up to the trip and even while we were there. That was a bit annoying. So, we'll probably come back, but hope that they make a few minor changes.

Great place in a lovely setting. Very easy to get to the University.

Address does not take you to the location, but very close.

Very cozy, great relaxing deck looking into the woods, nice fire pit area, cozy bed, great value. It’s a bit out of town, but not bad. There are other tiny homes around it, but not super close and it still feels very private. I would definitely stay again.

Had a great experience here - would recommend to anyone and hope to go back again!

This was the first time we stayed at one of the tiny houses. We had a wonderful experience, the house was clean and bright, the grounds are well maintained with nice trails to hike on and a playground for my 3 year old niece to play on. Enjoyed sitting around a campfire in the evenings and not have to deal with mosquitoes. We will be back.

The only thing I noticed was the blankets were dirty still, other than that everything was perfect !!

Great place to stay! We will definitely return if we’re ever back in the area.

This property is spectacular! My husband and I stayed 2 nights in order to attend a concert at The Caverns and the location couldn’t have been better. Other than attending the concert and popping out for some groceries, we felt happy to relax on the grounds at the retreat. There was a decent hiking trail I used to take my morning run on, access to a surprisingly large waterfall, and a secluded fire pit down the hill from our tiny home. We are absolutely planning on coming back and we will bring our 4 year old next time - I really think she’d love it there too! Thank you so much!!!

We assumed that the cabin would be extremely private in the woods, and it is set up more like a community of tiny houses. Not a deal-breaker, just not what we expected. They were super communicative, though, and the space was clean and enjoyable.

What a lovely place. The tiny home was adorable and the corset setting was stunning. The porch seating and views were an added bonus. We’d definitely return.

Great little spot and easy access to the caverns. There was more to this tiny home than we could make use of. A lot of cool facilities on the property I would use if I stay there again.

This place was awesome, small but perfect for a few people to stay and hangout at. We were seeing a show at the Caverns and this was the perfect place to come back too. The hosts were extremely helpful the whole way through!

Look No Further! Want to go to a show at the Canverns- this is the place to stay!

Beautiful property! Very clean with full kitchen. We loved that it was quiet and relaxing. Just what we needed for home away from home.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. Not only was the home itself built with so much consideration, thoughtfulness & functionality, but was set up better than my home that's not considered "tiny"! I was seeking something for hiking, privacy but safety was also something to consider when traveling light or alone. I got the perfect coffee morning privacy I needed while also feeling safe and that if something went horribly wrong, I wasn't too far away from help. (yes, that's a dooming thought, but you gotta be prepared!) The hike on the property was a real heart booster with all the steps coming back up. No, it's not that long of a hike, but it is a monster climb back and you better stay off that phone & look at the ground, bc if you eat it, it's going to hurt. The falls are GORGEOUS & super private as well, you feel like you've won a secret private trip to your own waterfall. It was exactly what I was looking for. Plus, theres 4-5 waterfalls that you can do in just a half hour or under drive from the Retreat. I loved the guest book in the house, although I can't get over someone ever leaving a complaint in it, & the Wifi was excellent, just right for my work calls. I was already looking at my next trip before I left. It's a great getaway from Nashville, especially if you need some forest bathing. The community firepits were really cute & always stayed lit up at night with string lights! The communication from booking to arrival was wonderful and I really thought the check in website with all the info was super helpful and appreciated as I'm a detail freak. This was what my brain needed and all I can say more is that you have to go. LOVE it.

Delightful tiny home situated among the trees. Large outdoor space with plenty of room to relax. Adjacent to community fire pit area. Convenient to The Caverns venue. Well worth a visit!

Everything about these places is amazing. Wonderfully accommodating and perfectly located for hikes and shows at the caverns. First time but definitely not the last. Thank you!

You need to have directions on how to use the heat. The extra blankets were dirty. We did like the house and the area.

Very nice place to stay loved the little house.

Wonderful Stay!!!!!!! Can’t wait to go back

Nice place in a beautiful location. Only issue is there is no dishwasher, which means you have to rely on the people before you doing a good job getting everything clean and then you have to wash all of your dishes by hand. But, on the whole, a very nice place.

Amazing place to get away in the woods. Nice trails around the property to take small breaks. I’d always wanted to experience a tiny house and this was the perfect place to do it. It’s amazing how little space we really need. Loved it!

I absolutely love my stay with FeliCa. Great response time and the patio facing the woods did it for me. Supper clean and very stylist. This Airbnb exceeded my expectations

On the Edge at The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls, January 2021

Very nice place, beautiful location. It was super relaxing. The response rate was phenomenal.

Clean property. Unique community of tiny homes. Bring firewood if you want your own campfire. Kids had a fun time playing games and sleeping in the loft. The hike to the community waterfall was better than expected. Lots of other great local hiking trails.

Loved the overall tiny house and the best part was running hot water! What a cute and cozy space! We were a group of 4 and it was a comfortable stay. Checkin was simple and plenty parking space! They do provide washers and dryers(not the detergent tablets) even though it’s not mentioned. No dishwasher though.

We definitely enjoyed our get-away... peaceful, cozy, & amazing waterfall view! We will be returning soon.

On the Edge was our first experience staying in a tiny home. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to trying other rentals in the community. Lacey, Felicia and Shay were wonderful to work with!

Wonderful getaway!

This place was awesome! The home was perfect getaway for us celebrating our anniversary! Hike to Deer Lick falls was beautiful! Enjoyed going to Greeter falls, Stone door and Laurel falls nearby. Had a delicious dinner at High Point also. Will do this again!

My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the “Edge”. It was such a relaxing time and the tiny home was perfect. Thanks!!

The place was beautiful and peaceful. Beds slept wonderful and teenage kids enjoyed it too. Everything was clean and classy. Loved the fires pits. We felt safe too.

It was a great getaway for a one night trip away from the city. More spacious than we anticipated for sure.

So cute! Just wish we had stayed longer.

This was our 1st time in this house, but 4th time visiting the Retreat at Deer Lick, and it did not disappoint. This was a wonderful experience - exactly what I love from the Retreat. Perfect for kids and easy to get to trails. Easy to find and get to. We used the community camp fire since this property didn’t have its own - easy to do and we made a few new friends. Quiet mornings outside eating breakfast were my favorite part!

Nice getaway, fall colors were lovely!

We loved it... the tiny house was first and it was well appointed (very comfortable all the way around — good beds, fluffy towels, good cooking amenities, beautiful patio and view) and the location is perfect for waterfall hikes. Note: If you’re a coffee fan/addict, be sure to bring your own supplies and preferred brew method

Nice place. Cozy. We loved sitting on the deck or over at the fire pit making smores. The whole neighborhood is very nice, well landscaped, with nice amenities like trails, multiple community fire pits, a playground and pavilion. Will definitely be back next time we visit my daughter at Sewanee.

The retreat exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood is gated and made of all tiny homes. It was only a short drive to some great hiking trails and waterfalls. The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed.

Beautiful and relaxing! Had a fun reunion with old college friends. It was a perfect setup for a reunion. Loved having the group fire pit. Will be back.

On the Edge at The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls, September 2020

The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls is a nice little gem tucked into the woods yet close to I-24 and just a few minutes from town. There is a full kitchen and it was nicely stocked though we were not there long enough to do any cooking. The beds were comfy and the deck was a spectacular place to enjoy morning coffee. There is a little creek at the back side of the property, just mind the poison ivy as you go down the hill. Plenty of trees are available for hanging a hammock and there is a trail nearby for exploration. My little one really enjoyed the playground in the community. This was a great alternative to a hotel room while exploring the area. I am sure we will return!

On the Edge at The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls, September 2020

We had a great stay at Deer Lick retreat! The house was awesome with a few things that needed to be addressed however nothing to deter the enjoyment.

This place was an amazing social distancing destination! Super cute and clean, with an amazing back porch with wooded view. We enjoyed the house, and hiking in the nearby state park. We’d come back in the future!

Peaceful place, will return

The Sedona is a really unique place to stay. It has all the amenities you could need and is spotless. We were only able to stay one night, but plan to stay longer next time. Loved it!

Awesome tiny house community located off the beaten path and surrounded by trees. Perfect for a relaxing, secluded getaway.

The perfect tiny house for a weekend stay. Love the private wooded view from the back deck and the fire pit and festive string lights in front. Minimal furnishings and easy cleanup. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved feel on back porch sitting And looking out into the woods. Felt like in a treehouse! Walked down to creek short distance Below. Pretty setting.

In a small gated community of tiny homes. Very cute & super clean. The house was very welcoming and cozy. We had a deck and a private fire pit behind the house. Plus we had a bbq area with chairs and a fire pit in the center of the Cul-de-sac across the street. Ideal for families. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

This was our second time at the Retreat and this was just as relaxing and pleasant as the first. No complaints once again. The waterfall was great again.

Great stay, we’ll be back!!! Amazing grill and beautiful scenery. We felt safe.

Loved the place !

A perfect tiny house with beautiful surroundings. The Sedona was spotless and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!

Great stay! Sitting on the back porch makes you feel like you are in a treehouse. Very cozy and clean!

This outdoor adventure blew our expectations out of the water! The house was amazing. It had everything we needed and more! Spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 tweens. They loved having their own little loft area!!! The resort was close to trails, waterfalls, and we especially loved the community firepit area at night for roasting hotdogs and s'mores! Will come back!!!!!

We loved our stay at the Sedona tiny house! It was very clean and cozy, and we loved the spacious deck with ample seating. It is directly across from a nice community fire pit with plenty of chairs and benches. The view from the living room was straight into the woods, which was really nice. My kids slept great in the loft, and they really enjoyed their space up there. We also really enjoyed the waterfall hike on the property, although it should be noted that it is a little strenuous at times. Definitely not an easy trail all the way through, but it is an amazing sight to see! We felt like we were in a hidden waterfall in Hawaii! We can't wait to come back and stay here again.

AWESOME PLACE TO STAY

Wonderful place to stay!!
