Hickory Hideaway is the cutest little house that is functional and comfy. It was clean except for the outside furniture. Deer visited nearby several times. The shower was great including temperature and water pressure. We loved the β€œfireplace” and the living room was homey and comfortable. The kitchen set up and available items were just right. Laundry and dishwasher worked well. They supplied us with most everything we needed in bathroom and kitchen. Although a tiny house, for two people it was perfect size! Our only dislikes were the bed mattress that was too soft so we sunk in and there are no ice cream shops other than DQ and Sonic within an hour. Great Fiery Gizzard trails in the area for hiking and refreshing waterfalls. Jim Oliver’s Smokehouse and Tracside both had delicious food! Joycil answered our questions quickly and was very friendly!

What a beautifully decorated place! Also, the location is truly a gem. You have to do the hike-so worth it!!

The retreat is a very quiet neighbor had set in beautiful surroundings but still close to hiking and Sewanee. The cabin had everything I needed in the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the host very attentive. Highly recommend!
