The property was clean and had all the needed supplies. The weather didn't cooperate but we still enjoyed the stay. Since it rained, we were limited to the screened in porch. Possibly move the big swinging chair on the deck so the view is not impeded. Other than that, lovely visit

This place is just the place to be, if you want to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We certainly enjoyed our weekend here and we definitely be back!

September 2025. This was our 5th visit to Retreat at Waters Edge. This tiny house is ideally located. Wonderful views of lake, and so peaceful—just what we needed! The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in.

The hosts were always responsive and helpful. It had everything you needed from pots and pans to spatulas to coffee. We had a great little getaway.

This is an extremely clean property with all we needed. Fishing and kayaking from the dock in the back yard were our favorite activities. Hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities in the surrounding area are all a short drive if you want. We will be going back!

The house was perfect! The hosts were always very responsive and friendly answering all of our questions usually within 10-15 minutes. It was such a beautiful view of the lake and so peaceful. I would definitely recommend.

This is a wonderful stay for you if you are looking for a peaceful waterfront retreat. The space was very clean and well decorated without being cluttered. We especially enjoyed the screened in patio and being able to walk right out to the dock. Note: the dock is public, not private. This is a lovely tiny home community and we look forward to staying again!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. Sitting out on the screen porch and out by the fire pit were our favorite parts. The place has a beautiful view of the lake and was close to our waterfall adventures and concert in The Caverns. The place is small, but plenty big for two (with extra room upstairs for 2 kids.)

Perfect place to stay, relax and visit South Cumberland State Park. We were able to hike and enjoy the waterfalls! Our tiny home was a perfect spot right on the lake! Definitely recommend The Retreat to others!!

A beautiful tiny home! Right next to the water with a (public) dock but also comes with a fenced in yard to protect your littles. This home was the perfect getaway for my family. The beds are comfortable and the shower was hot! Recommendation 10/10

Tiny home as advertised. Adequately furnished. Charcoal grill , fire pit and porches a real bonus. Great location with dock on lake. Houses well-spaced on property to allow a feeling of privacy! Only comment is that loft can be quite warm but is equipped with an efficient fan. Splendid views!!

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary in Monteagle and had dinner at High Point Restaurant. The AirBnB by the lake was a beautiful setting, quiet and private…sunset with geese flying over the lake was magical. We’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the sticks and stones and at the Retreat in general. The view of the lake was phenomenal and took our breath away. The house was decorated super cute with lots of thoughts and details for everything you might possibly need ! The only feedback/advice I have, is the top windows have no blinds curtains, so the sun does comes through the windows extremely early in the morning and it made it slightly more difficult to get a cranky toddler to sleep ! Despite this , we will be back as we LOVED every second of it !!

Nice. Quite. Perfect little getaway.

What a perfect spot for a fall weekend get away! The house was the perfect size for our family (two adults, a five year old, and an infant). We were able to get out and explore the area and sample local restaurants. Most of all, we loved building a fire, making s’mores, and watching the sunset over the lake.

The house is just as advertised but having more than 2 folks there gets a little cramped. It is a tiny house so not unexpected and the location is very nice - on the water and with a nice fire pit in the back yard

Oh, MY! We were so happy, so content, and so impressed with this last-minute rental on our journey from Vermont to KY and TN! We felt very blessed by the peaceful and friendly community, the places to hike/walk, the opportunities for enjoying the water, and the beauty of God's creation, we wished we could have stayed longer than only one afternoon and evening. I was inspired to leave the tiny house (which was perfectly decorated and appointed for convenience and comfort) as clean and organized as possible for the next guest. We will remember this amazing retreat and consider it for future trips to the area, as well as recommend it to friends and family who may be looking for a fresh and fantastic retreat vacation. I cannot say enough words to express my gratitude for a wonderful experience at this airbnb unique stay!!! Friendly neighbors were helpful and kind - it's that kind of vibe!! We had the best weekend at Sticks N Stones! It is well-appointed and has a great view of the pond. The management team from the Retreat were great and worked with us immediately when questions arose. The entire area is well done and we hope to return again soon so we can take advantage of more the neighborhood has to offer.

For a last-minute booking on Labor Day weekend, we were wonderfully blessed with beauty, serenity, friendly neighbors, and every sweet convenience we could possibly imagine! We found it difficult to leave! The decor, cleanliness, comfort and calm relaxation was priceless for 2 older working folk from VT. Thank you SO MUCH!!!!

This place was so beautiful and relaxing. Great little getaway with the most peaceful environment.

Cabin was great! View was amazing. Having the dock was perfect for fishing without needing to go anywhere. Caught a load of crappie and a large mouth. Only complaint was the dryer wasn't working. Really need to have some common spare parts on hand especially if all the units use the same appliances. They did offer to reimburse if we had to go to a laundry mat but that just wasn't convenient at all. Made due with just hanging stuff but definitely was a hindrance. Also the bedroom TV was not working.

The house was beautiful and well stocked, unlike the lake, where the fish were not biting the day we were there.

Great location, excellent conditions, stocked kitchen and well appointed layout of rooms. The fire pit has an incredible view of the water and even some nicely maintained Adirondack chairs to take it all in! A few noteworthy things to add are: - very little soap, shampoo. Better bring your own. - detergent for laundry room is needed if you want to wash clothes. - place isn’t well lit so if arriving at night it’s tricky to find. Overall wonderful waterfront spot!

Our family enjoyed the quiet, peaceful and the good view. The location was a little hard to find as the gps could not ping the exact location.

We truly enjoyed our stay. It got cut a little short because one of our little ones got sick, but we will certainly plan to come back again. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

Loved the place. Everything was almost perfect. The bathroom door was a bit difficult to open and close. Other than that everything was awesome. Everything you need, already provided in the house. This house was perfect location! Had its own little dock for fishing and relaxing, we didn't use fire pit because both evenings had rain but view can't be beat! Grilled out some and had everything needed to cook and feel right at home! Rainy morning on the screened in porch can't be beat! Would definitely stay at this location again!
