We had a great time in the tiny home. Went on local hikes and visited Chattanooga. Had a fire every night. Great place to walk to park and lake. Felt very secluded and it was restful! It was a really fun experience to be in a tiny home! The kids loved it!

Ashley H.

Petite Retreat,

My family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights. The place was so cute and cozy. The kids absolutely loved the beds upstairs and the hall beds. They were all very comfy as well. Thanks for letting us use your place. It was so cute.

Sara S.

Petite Retreat,

We had a lovely long weekend at Petite Retreat! The space felt private but was also close to hiking and things to do. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space - use of the grill and campfire was a big draw for us! We found everything we needed for a fun weekend getaway and would happily come back anytime.

Megan W.

Petite Retreat,

Perfect for the two of us - clean, well equipped kitchen, fire pit and grill were very much appreciated

enjoyed our stay!! everything was just like the photos .

Petite Retreat,

The Petite Retreat was just that. It was cozy, peaceful, quiet, very comfortable and just a great place to get away from it all! Kelly and I loved sitting outside and reading, taking walks, watching the deer and squirrels from the window, grilling and just chilling for a few days. It was our second trip to the area in as many years and we’ll definitely be back!

Jon G.

Petite Retreat,

Super cozy and nice house. There was lots of privacy with a lovely screened in porch, deck and fire pit.

Zachary O.

Petite Retreat,

It was a great place. It had everything you needed. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The community had hiking trails, and lake views. The restaurants close by were great too!

Dawn K.

Petite Retreat,

The Petite Retreat was the cutest little weekend getaway for my fiancé and I for Valentine’s Day! The perfect place to have a slow weekend enjoying nature! Will definitely be back in the summer!

Petite Retreat,

This is a great place to rejuvenate. It feels secluded, surrounded by tress but not far away from the other tiny homes. It is very clean and very peaceful. I would love to come and revisit again.

Petite Retreat,

We stopped into Tracy City for a Caverns concert and walked away with so much more. Such a wonderful peaceful place to get away from the constant busy life. My kids loved the bunk beds and loft area in the home along with the playground just a short walk away. Everything was clean and communication was great. We will be back!

Jo Ann P.

Petite Retreat,

What a very restful, peaceful stay. Beautiful outdoor spaces, covered and uncovered. Quiet and secluded with nature around . A “at home”feeling inside the home. 5 star for sure!

Trish T.

Petite Retreat,

This is a great house to get away from everything for a while. Even though it is a "tiny house" it had plenty of room for my family of 5.

Krista C.

Petite Retreat,

Enjoyable weekend getaway. Great outdoor space with large decks, screened in porch and outdoor firepit. The rental was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The community is in a peaceful, wooded environment. Conviently located for hiking and access to the Caverns music venue.

Lisa R.

Petite Retreat,

I would have given it 5 stars but the propane on the outdoor grill ran out after one very short use. Other than that we really enjoyed the stay

Petite Retreat,

My fiance and I booked this place for a quick get away and it was everything we hoped it would be! The resort is pretty big but this specific location was perfect, off the main road and very private. It was so quiet the entire time we were there and never heard any of our neighbors. The firepit was also private to our place which was also great. There is no dishwasher so if you plan on doing alot of cooking I'd recommend bringing disposable items unless you want to spend time washing dishes. Minimal cooking items were there, seems mostly leftover spices and such from prior guests, so I'd recommend bringing anything specific you may need like olive oil and seasonings. We'd definitely book this specific house again, was perfect for 2 people and a short stay.

Laura A.

Petite Retreat,

It's a true tiny house. Clean and well kept. The complex in which it resides is fairly large; however, this place is tucked away so that you really only feel the nature around you. The location is also great, less than a mile from the Fiery Gizzard North Trailhead.

Ronnie M.

Petite Retreat,

Great cabin in the woods. Very private and quiet. Short 10 minute drive to Monteagle to hookup with our other friends for the weekend. Recent rain caused washouts on the drive to the cabin but I’m sure they will be frepaired once the rain stops.

Petite Retreat,

My daughter and I booked this cozy cabin for spring break and we loved it. It was exactly how it looked. LOCATION: We thought it was the best location in the entire community. At first I was bummed because we wanted a waterfront unit but due to our last minute booking we chose this one. Once we arrived we were SO glad. It is nestled in the back of the property and felt very secluded. We didn't need seclusion but if you are a couple booking, you might want it! Next, the porches. What a dream to have the front porch which does offer a water view as well as the really private screen porch. My daughter and I are both mosquito magnets and we sat there each night, mosquito free, and played cards. The INTERIOR: Clean. This may be the cleanest rental I have ever had. It was clean, had a comfy couch, a stocked kitchen, nice towels. It was really failry perfect. The main bed does lean toward the firm, but it was okay. I slept well. The split air system worked really well. My teen daughter LOVED the loft. She very much enjoyed this enchanting little space just for her. There were a couple of issues (mechanical) that I notified the management about. We didn't need anyone to come out but they offered to do so. They were more of an fyi to them but we appreciated the responsiveness. We highly recommend this cozy cabin.

Dana C.

Petite Retreat,

Very private and spacious outdoor living. Also, well worth the trip to Foster Falls.

Jason R.

Petite Retreat,

This cabin exceeded expectations, delivering everything promised in the listing and more. The standout aspects were the exceptional cleanliness and the host’s responsiveness. The host also provided a fantastic recommendation for a local farmer in a neighboring town, where I was able to purchase high-quality steaks—an experience that truly enhanced my stay. If I find myself in Tracy City again, I would not hesitate to book this cabin.

Caleb W.

Petite Retreat,

We loved staying at the petite retreat. The location is great near to the dock and play area and off the main road. And we found the house plenty comfortable with outdoor decks, screen porch, and everything needed inside to make for a comfortable stay. The kitchen and bath were well stocked, and there were plenty of blankets for the cold temps. Loves having both the loft space and bunk beds as options for our child. We will definitely check here if we come back!

Josh G.

Petite Retreat,

What an amazing place to stay! The amenities and special touches did not go unnoticed. The view was truly beautiful! I’ve stayed in many tiny homes throughout Tennessee and this is by far my all-time favorite! I’m planning on returning as soon as I can!

Shelly P.

Petite Retreat,

The description matched with what we experienced! The location was beautiful with great hiking and antiquing close by.

Katie S.

Petite Retreat,

Great place to stay ! It was quiet and peaceful with activities around to do.

Jose N.

Petite Retreat,

Very responsive and helpful host. Gorgeous home and beautiful location. 2nd time staying. Would definitely stay here again!

Lacresha B.

Petite Retreat,

We were traveling home from Florida, family of 5, this tiny house was perfect for our over night stay. We wish we could have stayed for a week! Beautiful place. my only complaint would be the GPS does not take you to the correct place, it told us to go left and we needed to go right, further back. We found the place based on the name and sign outside

Amanda S.

Petite Retreat,

Perfect weekend retreat!! It’s small but just enough space for everyone! I would highly recommend.

Karolyn T.

Petite Retreat,

My wife and I had an absolutely marvelous experience staying at the Petit Retreat in Tracy City, Tennessee. This "tiny house" was the perfect escape for a couple's weekend. The community is amazing, the house itself was delightful, and the entire rental experience - from beginning to end - was simple, straight forward, and handled professionally. Thank you for an amazing weekend - we will DEFINITELY be back!!

Scott K.

Petite Retreat,

Great lil community for a weekend getaway with friends or family. Be sure to try the Mountain Goat in Monteagle. We will be back.

Kim D.

Petite Retreat,

Great stay and extremely peaceful and tranquil getaway! My wife and I have stayed at The Retreat at Waters Edge before, and we loved it so much that we came back for a second and longer stay. The host are always VERY responsive and communicative, and they provided great information regarding any questions and concerns we had. The tiny house was laid out perfectly, and it felt so cozy just like home. We will definitely be back for another stay with the kids VERY soon! We HIGHLY recommend this place regardless of the time of year!

Victor C.

Petite Retreat,

Another great visit! We love the tiny house, the luxury, the simplicity. We hiked, we grilled out, we enjoy the community.

Kathleen K.

Petite Retreat,

This was our second visit to the Petite Retreat. We loved it just as much. The community has added a playground near the lake. We found a beautiful hike with many waterfalls nearby at Fiery Gizzard and afterwards enjoyed a fire and grilling out at home. We love the simplicity and luxury of this tiny house.

Kathleen K.

Petite Retreat,

My friends and I had a wonderful time! It was the perfect getaway for all of us. Highly recommend!

Brooke F.

Petite Retreat,

What a retreat area is supposed to be like. The area is amazing with community fire pits at every corner. Not far from hiking trails and off road riding.

Scott O.

Petite Retreat,

This was a perfect getaway for our family of five. It was in a great location within the neighborhood. Easy to walk to the playground and game area. We spent many hours enjoying the fire pit. I would highly recommend!

Casey M.

Petite Retreat,

Lovely place to stay! The house is charming as is the area around it, and it’s close to Chattanooga. I’d recommend! Quick heads up: there are virtually no ingredients at the house. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and and cookware, but don’t rely on any staple foods being there! Especially salt and coffee— we should have brought our own!! This didn’t affect the rating, just a warning because I’m used to airbnb kitchens having basic kitchen items which include some food and we struggled without salt and coffee.

Anna R.

Petite Retreat,

We loved our tiny house! It was plenty of room for the two of us with a washer and dryer and everything else we needed. The outside of the property was great with all the outdoor living spaces. Close to many hiking trails and the Dutchmaid Bakery is a must!

Shelia R.

Petite Retreat,

Great location and community. Unit areas smaller than comparable tiny homes, likely due to extra porch space off bedroom.

Jabrina R.

Petite Retreat,

Great place to stay!

Efrain V.

Petite Retreat,

Very nice tiny home. We really enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. Two helpful things would be a tea pot for the kitchen and we were confused where to put the trash outside of the home. We would highly recommend this place for people wanting to hike in the surrounding area (Savage Gulf State Park and South Cumberland State Park). One last thing, there are a few restaurants near by but make sure to check their hours and days they are closed.

Debora L.

Petite Retreat,

This tiny house was tastefully decodecorated and very clean. The bicycle was a nice touch for touring around the community.

Christine B.

Petite Retreat,

Simple and enjoying. We will be back

Stacy D.

Petite Retreat,

Cute cabin and very clean! Enjoyed our stay!

Jenna S.

Petite Retreat,

Great home, nice neighborhood. Private and in the woods, minutes to Fiery Gizzard and other great hikes!

Petite Retreat,

The tiny home was perfect for me and my two friends to stay for a week of rock climbing in Foster Falls. The home was clean, and very functional. Although it is a tiny vacation home, it felt "lived in" which is a welcome change after some of my past Airbnb experiences. Cooking utensils and cleaning supplies were provided, which made maintaining the cleanliness of the home easy. Highly recommend for anyone in a group of 2 - 4 (Although it sleeps 6, the indoor relaxation areas would only be possible with a group of 4 or less, I think) You will have a lovely time in this tiny home!

Great place to visit. We had a great time. This is the perfect place for anyone wanting to spend a few days away from everything with your family.

Rosa G.

Petite Retreat,

Awesome, cozy cabin. Great for small family trips with 5 to 6 people. Only one bathroom but we made it work :)

David M.

Petite Retreat,

This tiny community was a perfect fall getaway. The Petite Retreat was tucked back the woods and felt very private. There were so many outdoor sitting areas, including a screened in porch, a covered deck with a ceiling fan, a large deck outback with a large table for eating then a great bonfire area. We have already planned our next getaway with our kids and grandkids.

Carrie C.

Petite Retreat,

Incredible stay! The cutest home. We comfortably slept 5, and could’ve 2-3 more if we needed too. Great location!!! This one is a tiny bit secluded too which was nice. Great stay! Will be back!

Helena S.

Petite Retreat,

We loved the place! A little confusing getting there but host made sure that we had accurate directions and maps. But it was confusing once you left and came back. But overall the house was super clean and the place was amazing!

George S.

Petite Retreat,

We enjoyed the property very much! It was perfect for the two of us and clean, comfortable and in close proximity to Monteagle! We would stay here again!

Anita P.

Petite Retreat,

Loved 🥰 this tiny home community! Nice area to talk walks or just sit on the porch and have a cup of coffee.

Amy P.

Petite Retreat,

We enjoyed our stay. The home was bigger than I expected with well laid out space. There were 3 of us and my 19 year old stayed in the loft above. The stairs were steep but he loved having his own space. There were enough beds you could sleep 8 people but it would be crowded. The only thing I would suggest to the owners is to install a longer shower head. It is a little difficult to use because the water goes straight down onto the shower seat. A little longer reaching shower head would fix this problem. This was not a big deal though. I would stay here again. And I would recommend it to others. It is a neat little community. They even have a lake/pond and had a bike at the home. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Amy C.

Petite Retreat,

For my husband’s 60th birthday, we stayed at Petit Retreat for the weekend! Great experience for us! It was cozy, clean and quiet in the Tiny Home Community! Unfortunately it rained most of the time, but the screened in porch was great so we could sit outside and drink wine while talking about the wonderful little place! We had no issues, as there were only 2 of us, we used the Queen bedroom only however there was room for 4 additional people with the downstairs built in bunk beds and the two twins upstairs. When we need another weekend away we will definitely stay here again! It is 10 minutes away from the Bigfoot Zipline (which was so much fun) and 10 minutes from High Point (which was a wonderful birthday dinner!!). Stay here you will enjoy the tiny home and the wonderful location!

Anita P.

Petite Retreat,

The Petite Retreat is a nice place to stay. We had a problem controlling the AC in the bedroom. We couldn't get it to turn off, so that room was too cold, but I hope the Retreat will fix that. It's tucked into in a small, private wooded lot. It was clean, and we loved the screened in front porch with aerial fan. We spent a lot of time out there. It was stocked with almost everything we needed in the kitchen as well as the bathroom. Our son is participating in the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and this was about 25 minutes away, so we could go see some performances. We also loved hiking on the trails at the University of the South. Note: The Retreat is still under construction. It's a big community of tiny homes and not-so-tiny homes. It's nice, but the roads are not paved, and the cars/trucks kick up a big cloud of white dust. By the time we left, a thick layer covered our car. I wish there had been a hose on the property so that we could wash it off.

George & Shelli P.

Petite Retreat,

Absolutely loved staying here. It was so peaceful and the trails to hike were amazing. My kids and I really enjoyed the scenery and the house. Will definitely look into staying here again.

Shaunte H.

Petite Retreat,

This was for a girls weekend trip with 4 of us staying in this unit. The tiny house community is still in construction, however, we were not disturbed by any noise during our stay. Petite Retreat is adorable and the host has provided most everything. You will need to bring your own roasting sticks for the campfire and also any kayaks. One bicycle was provided. The place was very clean. Highly recommend!

Tammy W.

Petite Retreat,

Incredible stay for me, my girls and sister! Everything we anticipated needing was there! From kid friendly games, hammock, fire pit and a surprise bike, we were constantly smiling while staying there. Very easy check in and check out instructions to follow made for a stress free trip! We are already planning for next Spring break!

Olivia C.

Petite Retreat,

We had a wonderful stay in the tiny home. It was just perfect my granddaughter fell in love with the upstairs she thought it was her own dollhouse… we had bonfires and rode our bikes on the trails it was a perfect location peaceful and very quiet which we both needed greatly.. thank you for a wonderful stay.. we can’t wait to come back again… A truly beautiful place…

Kandy S.

Petite Retreat,

Awesome place!! I highly recommend it

Petite Retreat,

The house was in a great kind of private location. We had everything we needed except maybe TV in the bedroom. Enjoyed the firepit and fishing at the lake although we never saw a fish. Would recommend this home to anyone wanting a weekend away.

Perfect getaway for our busy family! S’mores on the fire, relaxing in the hammock, and fishing off the pier were just a few of us the many things we enjoyed about Petite Retreat!

Ellen P.

Petite Retreat,

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Petite Retreat! It was so cute and just what our family of 5 needed. The kids loved the loft and the hammock was a hit! We enjoyed exploring the area and hiking to several of the beautiful waterfalls. We will definitely be back.

Petite Retreat,

This tiny house is super cute, clean, and very comfortable. For about the same price as a hotel room (give or take), the tiny house is nestled in the woods and has everything you'd need -- functional kitchen and bathroom, cozy furnishings, TV and couch, deck and screened-in porch, etc. It is immaculate and cozy -- could have stayed even longer ... thanks so much.

Anne G.

Petite Retreat,

We had a great time at Petite Retreat. We were furnished with everything we could need.

Sandra P.

Petite Retreat,

The good: The cabin is lovely and in a very nice location in The Retreat. This is a gated community surrounded by small cabins (probably 100 and counting). This particular cabin is fairly secluded and has views of the water across the street. This was very much a glamping experience and less of a “alone in the woods” type of experience. Firewood was provided and the fire pit and eno hammock were nice touches. The not so good: Directions on how to find the cabin were poor. This is a construction site currently and land markers provided were not adequate. Distances would be very helpful! The area rug in the living room was full of dog and human hair and covered my black socks within minutes. Check in was not until 4 pm and checkout was at 10 am. When I asked about a late checkout they offered one for $25 plus taxes. They also offer the same for early check in. I find this tacky and have never charged my own guests for a late checkout or early check in if available, as I am also a host. Finally, a $65 cleaning fee for two guests staying for one evening seemed excessive. We stayed for roughly 16 hours and a short term stay cleaning fee was not offered. Would have been nice for them to vacuum and sweep before we arrived! My request to waive the late checkout fee was ignored. I personally enjoyed my stay, but was not expecting to be surrounded by so many other small cabins. They are really packed in and it looks like there will be many more to come. I worry about the impact of so many cabins so close to one of my favorite nature features in Tennessee, the Fiery Gizzard Trail.

Geoff H.

Petite Retreat,

Great house, location for hiking, and community.

Petite Retreat,

A great property with lots of outdoor things to enjoy and do. The tiny house was fabulous and perfect for what we were looking for! Retreat was communicative and we had no problems with checkin or check out. Adorable place!
